With the inception of HELIC.AL, The End brought together today’s artists and historical luminaries to converge and present their ideas for a mutant audience, in Detroit on Memorial Day weekend from 2016–2019, featuring Suzanne Ciani, Eric Random, Das Ding, Cindytalk, Cyrnai, Black Rain (featuring Ike Yard’s Stuart Argabright), 10-Speed Guillotine, John Bender, Richard Fearless of Death in Vegas, Søren, 51717, Tadd Mullinix (aka Dabrye) as Charles Manier, Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, Charlie, Zanias (Linea Aspera), Stallone the Reducer, SSPS & Gramma, Traxx, Bill Converse, FRZNTE & Kristjan Z, Titonton Duvanté, FBK, DJ Porkchop, Artefactos de Dolor, Interval, Cron, Archetyp, Moonstarr, FBI Warning, LAL, Turtle Bugg, Force Placement, Möthersky, Egill Karlsson, Justin Aulis Long, Txtbeak, and Ed Luna.
Like most of the electro-acoustic music presented using a variety of 50+ year old synthesizers & drum machines, guided via modern technology, the artwork was produced with a series of architectural blueprints and line drawings, enlarged, cut & pasted, then assembled, with final color tonation in Photoshop.
