HELIC.AL
Condemned to repeat
HELIC.AL is an art + music venture launched in 2016 by Charles Noel and Todd Sines. Out of frustration in the post-punk/industrial music scene, where every “old-sounding” record was marketed with a “clean, refreshing remix”, the duo of best friends, having working together in bands, event organizers, and advertising work since 1991, brought something old, rather than new to the table. The records are all recorded to tape, mastered from tape to vinyl lacquer, and the digital recordings of Interval and Artefactos de Dolor, heard via streaming services, are in fact, vinyl rips from the lacquer masters.
As creative director (art + copy) since 2014, I am responsible for all branding, marketing, social media, site development, content direction and creation.
